All Children's Day 2010
United Way Hungary organized the All Children's Day in May 2010 in cooperation with the Palace of the Arts (MÜPA). Over 5 000 guests participated. Media partners included MTV and Juventus Radio. United Way Hungary was the only participating NGO.
There were exciting stage performances that included a presentation by United Way Hungary’s partner, the National Institute of Child Health (Országos Gyermekegészségügyi Intézet – OGYEI). OGYEI presented awards to 12-children who won a national safety-focused drawing contest. These drawings appeared in an OGYEI/United Way sponsored 2011 awareness-raising calendar.
During the event United Way Hungary gave information about accident prevention. In partnership with Stabilo, United Way also offered a ‘drawing table’ for children as well as a ‘games table’ with interactive games focused on raising safety awareness, completely staffed by volunteers from Celanese. A face-painting table was also part of the ‘United Way Experience.’ This very popular activity was staffed by volunteers from Celanese, Citibank, Genpact and Morgan Stanley.
This fun day was 100% powered by United Way volunteers.
